Customer Editorials regarding refurbished productsdifference between refurbished and new
This is my essay on the differences between refurbished products compared to new ones. Refurbished isn’t just another word for used or thrown away. better known as products that another person has bought, used, and sold. also known as reconditioned or remanufactured good. when i buy refurbished products im getting better discounts on them compared to store bought new ones. We've all have our own point of view when it comes to buying refurbished products. but if you want the best deal in town you'll buy refurbished products again and again. cause you just cant beat the price and warranty you get from buying refurbished products. I have bought a bunch of refurbished products and I'm happy I did. some of the things I have bought where worth thousands and I got them for under 300 bucks you cant beat that. some will say its not worth it there's no good in buying refurbished products compared to new ones but there actually is. do you like saving money do you like getting things at a damn good price. I sure do. most people will say refurbished is garbage. there's a reason someone got rid of it. just because they got rid of it doesn't mean its bad. its could just be simple defects. screen cracks or operating flaws. but no matter what when they send it back to a wear house it will get fixed properly and it will work just like the original one you paid thousands for. itll be the same thing I guarantee it. but don't just go to any random place to by refurbished products some people out there are evil and will try and sell knock off items to saying there new products or refurbished products. so do research save yourself some time and go get what you want for a decent price compared to new ones. the warranty you'll get with these is awesome you'll get more time with it if anything messes up there always there to help make sure your getting taken care of. so don't let anyone talk you out of buying refurbished products cause they're just as good as the new products. research again is key I did a good amount of research before buying any of my refurbished items and was glad I did. I found several locations to compare these to new products and was not disappointed in what I read for the news ones and the refurbished ones. nothing changed about them. all they had now was the name refurbished attached to them. but that did not make me change my mind. cause one of the best things about buying a refurbished item is the price. you can go buy a new product for over 750 dollars and hope it don't mess up on you if you didn't buy the expensive warranty that comes with it. I had a few friends buy there products new and not get the warranty on them cause they were just to expensive to get at the time of purchase and then forgot to get it till it was to late. they had to buy new items cause the warranty was invalid and didn't cover anything. well luckily they went and got the exact something and bought it refurbished and got it for a major difference. plus the awesome warranty I know. I've rambled on about this two things but hey what can I say who doesn't like saving money.Cell phone
There are many things that I can do on a cell phone and it's many makes and models. I love the idea of having a wonderful phone too keep in touch with my family and friends as long as you can keep your phone charge to communicate with my family and friends it will be a blessing. There are numerous pros and cons to buying both new iPhones and refurbished iPhones. Refurbished iPhones are Apple products that have been returned to Apple because of some sort of flaw or issue. Apple engineers then fix the phones with Apple parts and sell them again as certified refurbished iPhones through certified sellers or through their own Apple website. Some pros to buying a refurbished iPhone are that they are cheaper, the phones have a higher quality, and help the environment out by reusing old phones.
These phones are of a higher quality because the phones have had any defects known repaired. Either it was a physical or an internal defect, it has been repaired. These phones have also been repaired to the manufacturer’s specifications. Apple also checks the phones to make sure the phones are in great condition before reselling.
Refurbished phones are environmentally friendly because the phones are not going to the landfill and instead are being reused by other people. Charger and/or the charging cable might be included but they also might not be included. If these phones are bought from the Apple site, any new issues are covered by Apple by an Apple carried warranty. The phones may be unlocked- or being able to use any service provider, instead of just one provider.
Refurbished phones are cheaper because they have no monthly payment or hidden fees you may find when buying directly from a service provider like Verizon or monthly contract companies like Straight Talk. The phones are also cheaper when buying the phones from a refurbished site rather than directly from a service provider because they are used kinda like when you buy a pre-owned car you get it for less then it would be if it was brand new. A few more pros for the refurbished iPhones are that there are a lot of people that want them. There are so many refurbished iPhones because there is a lot of people that want to get an iPhone but they want to get it for cheaper than brand new.
Pros for new phones include knowing the battery is good. When you are going to buy an iPhone that is brand new you know that the battery and the internal antenna will be good and will not go out on you, if you are buying a refurbished iPhone, you don't know if the battery and the internal antenna is going to last the amount of time that they are said to last. Having the extended warranty option and no previous owners are also very good pros. New phones have numerous pros to buying them, including what is listed previously. New phones also have other pros, like an up to date iOS operating system and if you buy directly from Apple, the warranty carried through Apple will cover all damage except theft.
On the other hand, there are some cons to buying refurbished phones including defects of various types, old iOS systems and no extras, like earbuds or a charging cable that is guaranteed. First of all, the iPhones are used, so do keep that in mind when shopping for refurbished phones. Because they are used, there might be unseen defects internally or there might be physical defects like scratches and nicks. There might also be problems with the phone that makes it function improperly. The phone might need a new battery when you first get it and won't be in the original box, but I think that was to be expected. There might not be any warranty or extended warranty offered or available, but if you are lucky you will have an option for a warranty on the phone.
More cons for refurbished phones is the simple fact that buying used will never feel the same as buying new. When buying a refurbished phone, things can also go wrong. The warranties that are offered for refurbished phones, if any, are never as good as warranties offered for a new phone. Finding a refurbished phone for the right provider can be difficult. Sometimes you won’t find a refurbished iPhone. Replacing a malfunctioning refurbished phone can be difficult and troublesome.
The cons of buying a new phone include hidden fees from carrier companies, contract fees, monthly payments and only being able to use one specific provider only. The phones are also more expensive than the refurbished phones. Brand new iPhones are more expensive because they are never owned by anyone else but you. There might be unexpected internal defects within the new phone along with the old phones going into a landfill, thus new phones aren't exactly environmentally friendly. Because of the number of phones that are being returned, there are more environmental hazards because there is less being rebuilt and then resold. The reason that there are so many refurbished iPhones is that they are very popular and are wanted by a lot of people in many locations.
When you are going to buy an iPhone and you are trying to decide if it is worth spending the little extra money to buy a brand new iPhone instead of the cheaper refurbished iPhone. You must first understand that there are pros and cons for them both. New would be carrier fees and monthly payments but on the other hand, there are also pros the buying a brand new iPhone instead of a refurbished one. Some pros for the brand new iPhone is that there will be a warranty that will cover the phone if it gets damaged in the time that the warranty is in effect. When you buy a refurbished iPhone there is not a warranty that will cover the phone like the brand new iPhone. If you decide to buy a refurbished iPhone you should expect to find scratches, dents, and nicks in it. Some cons to buying a refurbished iPhone are that it will be really difficult to find it through your service carrier. For this reason, it is easier to go to your service carrier and buy a brand new one for less hassle.
People that like to be up to date with the most recent technology, a refurbished iPhone is not for you because most of the time a refurbished phone is not the most recent technology. If you want to have the most recent technology you need to go and buy a brand new iPhone.
https://www.cheatsheet.com/gear-style/reasons-not-buy-refurbished-phone.html/Refurbished or new that is the question.
I personally do not have an iphone of any type. If I were going to purchase an iphone it would certainly not be a new one. The price of the refurbished iphones are expensive and the newer iphones are more updated and therefore would be more expensive and would be greatly out of my price range.
Buying refurbished or anything that is used in the electronic field, one will take a chance on whether or not it will hold up for the price of the refurbished iphone.
Iphones are very nice to have and have a lot of nice functions; but, is all that fanciness necessary. I realize that modern technology has come a very long way and all people whether young of old likes to keep up with the newer equipment.
The old saying is got to keep up with the Joneses and that is what a lot of people try to do. I myself only do what I feel that I can afford and that is all that I want to do. I do not need a new iphone and I will not buy a refurbished iphone or a new iphone. I have an Android phone and it works good enough for what I need in a phone. The purpose of a phone of any type is a means of communication and is not needed to perform all that other fancy stuff that is put on those new iphones. Don't get me wrong, new may be better and nicer but I do not need it at the present time and a lot of people don't need fancy iphones. Why do they think they do? They don't want to be looked down upon for having an older phone. That does not make not one bit of difference to me and it should not make any difference to anyone.
If a company that one works for expects their employee should have a new iphone, then I feel that the company should purchase a new iphone for whichever of their employees need the newer iphone.
I heard someone talking a few months back and they were saying that their husband bought each of them a new iphone. The cost was $1,000 each. Now just tell me, who can afford that price of a new iphone.
I don't make that much in a month and rarely does anyone else make that much pay during the month to purchase a new iphone.
I have bills to pay each month but so do other people but they choose to let their bills get behind so that they can get a new iphone to keep up with everyone else in their line of peers.
That is so ridiculous to me. If people would stop buying the new expensive items, maybe the price would come down to a decent price.
How does everything get to be so expensive anyway. Is the price of all the electronic parts that go into the new devices getting that much more expensive. Certainly they should never be allowed to get that high. Most of the factories are using robotics to do their assemblies and therefore that puts people out of jobs because the robotics do not get paid.
When cellular telephones were first introduced to the consumers, they were a great accomplishment and everyone had to have them back then. But since then, things have greatly improved and everyone wants to keep up.
Refurbished should work just as well as the new iphones and should be warrantied to last for a few months and in case they should break, they could be replaced and that is only fair especially at the price of a refurbished iphone.
I do understand that if one is a doctor or lawyer how they may need a newer iphone and they should purchase one for themselves. But as for the common person that does not have a high ranking position, a new iphone is not needed.
I do also understand that people don't want to get left behind as everyone wants to be one of the modern newer generation.
I consider myself to be an older adult and so therefore why should I need a new Iphone. I do not need a new iphone. I do not even need a refurbished iphone. But that is just me. A lot of people do not feel like that which is okay with me.
The newer iphones have such applications as GPS which is a great way to keep up with where one in on the map and be able to plan their route to where they are going and will not get lost. This can be very frustrating when trying to get to someplace that you have never been and have no idea how to get there. Therefore that application of GPS is well worth having a new Iphone as it would have updated maps on it for easier maneuvering their route.
There may also be several applications on the new iphone that is not on the older refurbished iphone and in that case I would agree that a new iphone would be needed. If that is not the case, then the refurbished iphone would be sufficient.
Another disadvantage to the newer Iphones is the fact that are are so big and bulky. I like my smaller android phone as they are more convenient to carry and more convenient to operate. Of course if one has bad eyesight, then the newer iphone would be acceptable.
Of course, newer iphones may be more attractive, but who needs that. The purpose of the phone is to work for what you need it for. Whether refurbished or new, either phone will do the same thing and that is a mode of communication. Everyone should stop and realize that fact and not worry about being fancy and considered keeping up.
Any kind of electronic equipment can be refurbished. So one needs to know what they should be looking for in a phone. Does every function work properly? Does the touch screen work properly? Does the battery hold a charge? Is the words legible and readable? Is there a warranty on the refurbished iphone and if so how long is the warranty good?
At least in the advancement of the newer iphones and equipment, there are repair shops to service the phones at a fast pace, in and out and move on your merry way. That is a good feature about the newer equipment. That is also to be appreciated.
Again, I myself cannot see me ever purchasing an iphone where it be refurbished or new. It will never happen in my lifetime. I may be wrong. However, I do not feel that I would be able to justify the cost and would not be able to utilize it to it's full features because a lot of the newer features I just really do not understand.
If a person wants to get the newer Iphones, then I suggest they go for it. If they can afford it and can utilize it in their lifetime then that will be to their advantage.Pro vs Cons of Purchasing an iPhone
When you purchase an iPhone you want the best. You want one that does everything. You look for quality, assurance and endurance. You want a nice and good looking phone. I would prefer if it came from the Apple store. Therefore, I know it's worth the money. Spending hundreds of dollars on a phone is ridiculous to some people. To others, it's an investment. If you are a technology type of person then the iPhone is what you need. I have been told by my son that it has great camera quality. His main concern was having a phone that he could multi task with. So far, I have heard nothing but great things about the iPhone.
When you purchase a phone you always get the warranty. That means that if anything happens to it, you are still covered. A majority of the world also gets insurance as well. Having insurance is a plus too. If your phone gets damaged or stolen then you can have it replaced for a small fee. It comes in handy. Well for me it does. You can never go wrong with having a warranty and insurance. You would be dumb not to have it. I know several people who drop their phones on the first day. Not having a warranty or insurance could be detrimental to your pockets. It covers you when you think you are not covered. Plus you receive your phone the very next day. Of course, you have the employees of the carrier that you are with to help set it up for you. If you are a person who is kind of clumsy at times, then this works out perfectly for you. The upside is having insurance to help you through the process.
Buying an iPhone from the store means that it works properly. With every phone that I have purchased, they have set it up and made sure that everything is functioning properly. The associates help set up emails and transfer numbers as needed. They also make sure that the internet is working properly as well. That's the beauty of buying a brand new iPhone. You can never go wrong with something brand new.
Being able to open your box that your phone is in is an amazing feeling. There is no marks or scratches. The quality is in excellent condition. That is another pro to purchasing an iPhone from it's carrier. You are able to purchase a new iPhone case to take your beauty home. The phone is a guarantee. You have no worries or negative feeling about it being used already.
Another pro is that you are the only person who owns the product. Getting a phone from a secondary primary is sometimes risky. You never know what you are actually getting. The phone could be in bad shape and not worth the money that you put into it. Some people sell the phone for more than it's worth. That's a waste of money when you could have just went and bought a new iPhone. Sometimes it's just not worth it.
Buying a use iPhone isn't always what they say it is. They tell you that u have a warranty but most of the time it is for 30 days. Maybe you might find one for 60 days but once that time is up, then you are on your own. Which means you have to pay for repairs and in the end it might be more than what you paid from the beginning. Then you are back at square one with trying to get another iPhone. So you have wasted time and money on a used iPhone. The money you spend or put into it could have been the money you use to purchase it. You have to be smarter than that.
The prices can be a deal when you look at the prices of an iPhone from a retailer. Comparing them can affect your decision because the price from the secondary party is in your budget. If you want an iPhone that's worth it then you have to spend the money for it. There's no guarantee that the iPhone will even work or if it looks like it's in good condition.
One thing about an iPhone is that you must make sure that it works properly. An iPhone is a phone in it's own category. It's pretty much a computer in your hands. It works like a computer and acts like one as well. So buying one second hand is not bright idea. You have to make sure that it is properly working and functioning correctly. You would not know that if you didn't purchase it from a store. Prices do vary but it's important to know what you are getting.
They say you get what you pay for. Before you buy an iPhone from a second party, you should look at it very carefully and figure out if it's worth the money or time. You should look at the facts of what you want. The brand, model, size and even color. Plus you should consider the warranty and insurance. Is it worth your hard earned money? Is worth buying before you actually see it? There's a lot of questions to ask yourself. The main thing is that you are positive about your purchase.
I never really understood what refurbished meant. I mean I know it is something like renovating something. I'm trying to understand how do you renovate a phone. I know it's people in the world that attend college for computers but I have seen computers crash in the worse way. I mean why would someone buy a refurbished phone? I mean that's pretty much like buying a building that has been remodeled. It is not a certain guarantee that it is in the best condition.
In my opinion, I feel like an iPhone is something similar to a computer. I mean it's an Apple based product. Buying a refurbished iPhone is like going to the pawn shop and purchasing a computer as is, which means there's no warranty. So, that means you just purchased a lemon based on a price that you thought was a better deal verses purchasing a brand new iPhone with no problems.
I prefer to have any phone that I have purchased to be brand new with no previous owners. Reason being is that if anything happens to it then I know I have #1 a guaranteed warranty and #2 insurance. Therefore, I can come to the location or call customer service and request another brand new phone with the same guarantees.
My husband always tells me that he's glad I got insurance cause I drop more phones than anything I carry. I don't know about the next person but I would like my iPhone new with no previous owners. It's way better that way.
In my opinion buying a refurbished phone is a lot better nd cheaper to buy. Buying a new one will cost you between five hundred and one thousand dollars. Depending on what kind it is. These sites are for you to purchase the same products at a reasonable price. It gives you the opportunity to purchase these products may it be a new iPhone or playstation or tablet at a price that is convenient for you. It gives you an understanding that yes it may be a refurbished version of what you want but know that it is ready to go on your time. I omly buy refurbished products.
Say you go in to a Verizon, or US Cellular, or tmobile, or at&t store you are going to be there for hours waiting and waiting depending on how many people are there. You need to do a credit report and wait and see what that comes up with. Then you have to either have nearly perfect credit in order to get the phones you want or the plan you want. Then if you dont have the credit you need, you need to put a security deposit down and thay could be anywheres from two hundred dollars to five hundred dollars. Yes you can go that way but why sit around all day and waste time waiting and waiting. By going on a refurbished website and looking at the product you want or want to purchase, you get to choose what you want and not have to put a deposit on it or wait for a credit check. You get the product you want in a reasonable time frame and its yours. Knowing that yes it has been fixed and made for you to have and is yours kmow matter what. There is no cost on mo thly payments or getting it taken back because you were short on cash for the month. Its yours.
You don't need to send it back or have them shut it off. My daughter has a refurbished iPhone, she got it last year for Christmas she loves it. We have it on a prepaid account so she doesnt go ovet het minutes or data. All of my kids have refurbished phones they love them knowing they wont be taken away unless itd bad grades. By having a refurbished iPhone versus a brand new iPhone you can clearly see the better of the two. Take a minute to sit and think of how much money you save by buying a refurbished product rather then a new one. On a new iPhone you have like i said the deposit and monthly bills and going over data and going over minutes, then if its not pais you get a warning that a shut off and sometimes they take your phone back or even lock it so its just a phone you cant use or anything.
Buying a refurbished iPhone is much better its yours you can do as you please with it. You dont have the monthly bill if you choose prepaid or if you choose a bill make sure you are on a set plan so it doesn't cost you more. It wont be shut off you can use it as you like, it wont be locked on you, it wont be taken away from you. You should really think about what you buy and where you buy it before you purchase your product. In some cases people that have a good amount of money really don't care about their bills or charged they grt from going over on bills or minutes or data. Buying a refurbished product is so much better. It gives you and understanding of what companies have out there in order to please you and your families. It makes things a lot better knowing yes i got this iPhone for my daughter rather cheap. I mean yeah you gotta do surveys and stuff but hey its so worth it in the long run. Its better to be happy about purchasing a refurbished iPhone then a new one. I mean what if you get home and it cracks or breaks its going to cost you hundreds of dollars to have it fixed. Yes there may be a warranty but you get that with a refurbished iPhone as well. It just wont cost you as much. My kids go on refurbished websites and look to see what they can have me order or order themselves. They love the sites as everyone should. I only purchase from refurbished sites now its the way to go.
I wish that more and more people can understand that by going on these sites they are getting more for their dollar. They can browse and see what they have and do some surveys and get their products for much much less then a new one. I recommend goung on here and checking this stuff out. Refurbished phones and tablets and playstations and other electronics are the way to go hands down. Not only will it make you happy but you will feel better anout yourself and the products you buy. Please people check this out, its the only way some people can get the things their kids or family members want because its so much cheaper and better for you. I bought a Samsung Galaxy phone from a refurbished site, i have had it for three years now. I have it on prepaid and i love it. I have a one time payment every month and i dont go over on anythung. I connect to wifi when i can and i have roll over minutes as well. I wouldnt have it any other way. I had a plan through Verizon many years ago, and i always went over everything evety month. Its not cool thinking your bill is one hundred and twenty dollars, and you get it and it states you have gone over this and that so now your paying two hundred and fifty dollars. I am so glad my kids and I switched to the refurbished phones, rather it be an iPhone or Samsung Galaxy. You can't ask for better products or better service. I wish more people would have more access to these sites and buy more from them. It really helps out and saves you time and money and the hassle from waiting around a carrier that is just going to take your money, charge you more, and rack the bill up
I want the word to get out that by buying or purchasing refurbished iPhones is better for you and your family. It will make you happier and you'll be happy to save hundreds of dollars on each purchase and each month of your bills however you choose to go. It just makes sense. I have had many people come ask where did you get your phones? Well on a refurbished site. They are like seriously. Im like yeah i only buy from them. I tell them howto do it and within weeks they have the refurbished iPhones or products coming to their door. Its a proven fact that its a great thing. I have many friends who now only buy refurbished products from websites. Its so much better then a new product. I phone rant
Buying a refurbished I phone is like playing the lottery. You know they are refurbished because of a defect but you don't know what the defect is or was. I phones are made by the Apple company and are part of the many prides and joys of Apple. I phones are high prices unless you buy them used or refurbished but they are worth it. When buying refurbished you are not buying used you are buying a phone with a defect. Meaning it was returned to the factory and they fixed the issue but cant sell it for full price because it was returned to them even know the item has been fixed.
Pros of buying a refurbished I phone.. Hellos its an I phone you have the same apps as you would if you bought a new ones and you will have all the same choices. I new I phone and a refurbished one will still have all the same applications on it. No one would ever know you have a refurbished phone unless you tell them you do. You can connect to the Apple store and still use the I tune cards for them. There is really no difference in the programs on the phone.
With a I phone refurbished or not will still be able to connect to internet and you will still be able to send text messages. You will still have face time with the Apple software that allows you to hold video calls with others. Kinda like video calling for android.
I phones will still have the organizers to help you manage your busy days. For the applications on banking to travel and paying bills just like you would on a new I phone. A lot on a I phone will be the same even if you purchased a refurbished one. You can get them in the same color you can buy a new one in. The model you want you can find refurbished along as in new. The convenience you get from any I phone is a plus. This eliminates the need to having to purchase different items like a gps system or a digital camera. I phones have really good cameras on them. Most I phones weigh around 4 ounces and fit easily in a pocket or purse.
The phones works smoothly in checking your emails and and hooking it up to your laptop or computer.
Of course just like the new it will have the cloud or I cloud for the I phone affect. It has the sync feature weather it is wireless or hooking directly into your laptop. Lots of places now have iphones so your service can be with almost any phone company out there.
Buying refurbished I phone from Apple will give you a one year warranty and normally cost around four hundred dollars compare to a new one at around one thousand dollars. There are a lot of the same options in buying refurbished to buying new. Main benefit is the price you. If you want one you can get one if you can find it.
Now for the down side for buying refurbished I phones. I would love to say there isn't one but there is always a down side. Remember you are buying refurbished and that means someone had it returned it for what ever reason and Apple tried to make it new but couldn't sell it as new. To find the newest I phone like a 2017 will be very hard. Right now on the market you might be able to find a 2015 and that is showing that apple makes great products and believe in their products.
Another issue is that the phone may have a few updates to do after you get it. Remember you are lucky to find one that would be a 2015 then the operating system on it may need to update to the newest one. May take a while to do. I mean that would be a long update and a lot of time waiting for it to go threw the stages of each update until it was caught up. Remember this is refurbished not new. That being said remember that all the applications on the phone will be up to date either. This can be very time consuming but you wanted the refurbished I phone and to save about four hundred dollars. Now if you want more than a one year warranty you would have to buy new. Apple doesn't do more than a year warranty on refurbished anything. This is because of the quality of their products and the fact there isnt many items that are refurbished from Apple.
One of the few issues I have notices with Apple I phones in general is the memory. On a android you can buy memory cards to expand you memory on I phone there is no way to do it. What you buy with your I phone is what you get for memory so that is something you may want to look in to because if you need a lot of memory then you may not want a I phone.
Remember the money you saved on the phone now does that take up for the memory that you cant expand. I think this may be one of the major issues of buying a used I phone. This turns my Idea of buying a I phone off. I like to have the really big memory for all the games I play on my phone and all the pictures I take.
So in my opinion if you want a new or refurbished I phone you should look into the cost the memory and the issue of finding one to buy. You need to be prepared to wait for the updates to be done when you buy one that is refurbished and you need to hope you never use the memory on the phone for a lot of games. Games are the one of the leading causes of memory use. Well them and pictures. I would think about this purchase if it was me I am one of the people who is a gamer. I like my games on all my products. This product may be something for people who are more business savvy and have to keep track of their every moment with a calendar and needs memos to keep track of their life. If you want something like this then the I phone is the product you need. I would stick to my android. My sister loves her I phone so she knows more about it than me. I am happy and I hope you are happy with your purchase of your I phone weather it is refurbished or not.Pros and cons of a new iPhone vs a refurbished iPhone
There will always be new arguments and points of views on buying products brand new or buying them used, refurbished, rebuilt, etc. This article is what I have found to be true about purchasing a new item versus buying a used or refurbished item. Here are some pros and cons of each option and the argument against each choice. As stated in a previous article I wrote, I believe that purchasing a refurbished item can some times be more beneficial to the buyer than buyer that item new can be. One reason is that the new item is going to cost maybe three times more than the refurbished item will cost. Another reason is that the new item has yet to be tested by anyone to ensure that that mass produced item does not have any issues, once it is placed in its box, it stays there until the buyer opens the packaging. A refurbished item was returned for a specific reason and fix for that problem and then tested to ensure that that issue was fixed. I believe that in that process, the item is actually tested more thoroughly for issues as the company that refurbished the item is not going to want to get that same item back for the same or similar issue, or for an unrelated issue. Refurbished items are much more cost efficient for the buyer, and most companies that did the refurbishing still offer a warranty on that item, so it isn't that much of a gamble. Cheaper price, and the item may still be replaced or the purchaser could be reimbursed for the money they spent. Buyers can get warranties with the new items they buy also, but it is frustrating to get your purchased item home just to find that there is an issue when you expected a brand new and perfectly functioning item. The only issue I could see with purchasing a refurbished iPhone is that maybe it would not be current with all of the updates and may be an older model. Or maybe there was a glitch and not all memory was cleared to the buyer ends up with some weird stuff on their phone, or maybe people trying to get ahold of the old owner of the phone may still have a way to get ahold of the new owner of the phone. I do not know that much about phones in general, but I have never owned an iPhone so I can not say much about which issues could be common with the new or refurbished phone. I think iPhones are too delicate for most people, at the price that they are sold for, I would expect a much more durable product. I think that is another good reason the purchase an iPhone that has been refurbished. Why pay full price for the same product if you are just going to break it the first time the phone drops from your hand onto the counter top? I believe that many consumers have issues with refurbished items just because they are not brand new. I would rather spend less money on an item when the option is available. Especially if there is a warranty on the item. Why not take the risk if you get compensated for the risk taken? Plus it is always a pain getting a brand new phone, or any item really, set up and ready to use. At least with a refurbished phone, most of the work is already done. A brand new phone may have been damaged while it was being delivered, or stocked onto the store shelves. When a refurbished phone is sent, they will have taken more time to package that phone as to prevent the same damage being done to the phone. IPhones are a mass produced item as it is quite popular. Because of this, many phones may be made with issues or loose parts or whatever because they workers were so pressured to hurry and get out as many of that phone as possible to deal with the supply and demand issue. When an iPhone is refurbished for what ever reason, that one particular phone is looked over and fixed for that specific problem. So in a way, your getting more worth for you dollar if you buy a refurbished iPhone. When buying a brand new iPhone, the buyer can be talked into buying the newest one that costs way more yet does the same thing as the cheaper version, one may be an older version than the other, but why pay an additional one to two hundred dollars for one tiny difference that you may not even understand? When you look at refurbished iPhones, you are given the option of what is available at what price, no haggling or being talked into buying something way more expensive that has the same capabilities. I think that that is a better way for people to make sure that are getting an iPhone at a good price that will still be in new condition. Refurbished iPhones are the more sensible iPhone to purchase, in my opinion, because you get the same quality of product as you would if you purchased a brand new iPhone at ten times the price. I am sure that people could even argue that the purchaser gets better quality work for a cheaper price when they decide to purchase a refurbished iPhone versus purchasing a brand new iPhone. It is nice to be able to say that you were able to buy a brand new, top of the line iPhone that just came out and has way more capabilities and blah blah, but is it worth spending the extra money just to have bragging rights? I am a firm believer in finding the most cost efficient way of having the items that you want. Especially if the risk you are taking in buying a refurbished item does not actually hurt your bank. On my phone, I have to pay a deductible of one hundred and fifty dollars if anything happens to may phone. That is the insurance policy. If a buyer purchases a refurbished iPhone, that phone not only costed that person less money, but it is also under warranty. To me that sounds like the better deal because if the refurbished iPhone is still damaged or does not function properly for what ever reason, the buyer of the phone does not have to pay a deductible and what not just to have them sent a new phone. A warranty through a refurbishing company could save the purchaser of the iPhone both time and money and probably get them a replacement phone much faster than if the purchaser had gone to a supplier and gotten the brand new phone. So, in my opinion, a buyer of an iPhone could save both time and money by purchasing a refurbished iPhone over purchasing a brand new iPhone. In the end, which is more important to most people, saving time and money or wasting time and money? I believe that most people would choose the safer route of buying a refurbished iPhone that purchasing a brand new iPhon.Refurbished products vs new
I would rather but the refurbished products then new ones sometimes. They are all the same and work the same. Buying refurbished game consoles or phones or tablets is just like buying a new one in my opinion. Being refurbished is not like your getting a console or phone that is broken or doesn't work, you are getting the same products just fixed up for a cheaper price. I enjoy the products i have nought from refurbished online stores.
You cannuy so many things or gadgets that are refurbished they are better quality to me. For instance if you go yo Walmart and buy a phone or game console you get it home and find out it's broken, you then need to call a manufacturer or the store if you have the warranty on it. Wait for the package to come to you which takes days to weeks, then send it back out. Then you are waiting weeks to months for either one to be fixed or two a new one to replace it.
If you take it to Walmart it self you need to prove you never broke it or things were missing ect... then get a new one in return. Yes that may be faster but not correct. I wpuld rather wait to make sure it was fixed. Buying refurbished products are being sold fixed and ready to go. They want your services and business so they make sure that you are a satisfied customer. I would only buy refurbished products if thats all they had. I enjoy my phone i bought refurbished. My kids all have refurbished phones and tablets. They are very reliable for the prices you pay.
450 for a new ps4 or 40.00 i am definitely going for the cheaper product knowing its ready to go and is in great working order. I enjoy all my stuff i get from the refurbished sites. More and more people need to go on these sites and pursue and purchase these products.
When buying phones i get skeptical sometimes not knowing if they are unlocked or if you can go prepaid, i love the fact that the site tells you that it is unlocked. I hate getting things that ate locked and need to be on the phone for hours and hours waiting for someone to say all you need to do is this or that. I love my products i hope many more people get the chance to make purchases like these. I can't afford four or five hindred dollars to pay for game consoles or phones i may go on the cheaper side of life but it all works the same way in my opinion. People need to take chances and try new things so they can becone aware of the great deals they are either missing out on or taking advantage of. I only buy refurbished products now. Once in a while i will get something new but very rarely does that happen. Dont get me wrong i like new things but if i can save a couple hundred dollars and buy the same products for cheaper prices i am definitely going to pay for cheaper. I may spund weird but growing up to now things have changed in many ways, i think for the bad. I would rather have outside time and family time then sitting on a phone or game console all day long. I enjoy my phone yes but everyone needs a break once in a while. I will only buy refurbished products now and will in the future, you are getting more for your money.Refurbished vs New
Refurbished is taking a used product and basically cleaning it up to make it like new. A lot of people are buying refurbished product because they can get them cheaper than retail price. Reason being is that the product still holds it name but isn't really worth the money. Sometimes refurbished can be good. But like the old saying goes "you get what you pay for." Just because they say it's worth it isn't always the truth. They are not considering the customer and whether or not the product is worth it the money. You could get a video game console that works pretty good but the outside looks like crap. Look at it like this your are getting a '64 Cadillac that has been wrecked with a brand new motor under the hood. The last thing you want is to ride around in a wrecked car. Plus your warranty would not be worth it. You are pretty much losing money because there is no guarantee that it will continue to work.
Before you buy anything that has been used but has been refurbished make sure it's worth it. Reliability isn't always a guarantee. The salesman has to make it sound good.
The pros and cons of having an item refurbished is pretty much the same. You don't really know what you're getting. It could be good or it could be a piece of trash. A person who has never bought a refurbished product really wouldn't know what to look for in the product. Sometimes the product could be damage or even have a defect. Whether big or small, a problem is a problem. Plus it's a major headache to have. I'm pretty sure no one wants to go through the hassle of trying to fix it or get it fixed. Worst case scenario it can't be fixed after you have paid the money for it. I don't think its worth all of that when you can just go and get it brand new.
Now buying something new is a different story. It also has it's pros and cons. The pros I would say is that you are buying it brand new with a guarantee that the warranty is worth it. It comes in mint condition without the dings and dents. As far as the repairs, they wouldn't cost a thing. Reason being is because most electronics come a 5 year warranty. Some come with a 10 year warranty. Lucky right? I would say so. It's always better to buy it new. You know what you are getting and you can see what shape the product is in. You have a ring side seat to your purchase. It's helpful to know that it's technology is up to date and that it is efficient. Sometimes when you are looking you find a sell on something that cheaper than the refurbished item you saw online. Having patience is well rewarded. When you rush and you are impatient it's hard to find something in your price range. Sometimes it pays to look around a store or even browse the internet.
Some people prefer to buy used items such furniture sets, appliances like washers and dryers, t.v., computers etc. It's cool if you can find a bargain on those items but why buy them used when you have no warranty on any of them. I understand everyone has a budget or maybe they can't afford to pay full price for the item at that moment in time. So if you can get it at an affordable price then by all means go for it. M y only opinion is that there's no guarantee that if and when it breaks down that you will have the money to get it repaired. Think about it. Would you rather pay out of pocket or have warranty? It's something I like to think of as having a little insurance.
