Used or New?

Technology new and old is the way of the world today. Every day new technology is created and discovered. One large piece of electronic material that is used world wide are phones. Whether it be a cheap little flip phone to the most expensive, upgraded Iphones. Everyone of course wants the most recent and improved phones, right now being the Iphones.

Iphones seem to be the hot topic because they are created by Apple. Apple is a well known, high quality, fast paced electronic company that provides phones, computers, printers, etc. You name an electronic, they have it. That is also one reason why they are so expensive. They create top quality merchandise with multiple features, applications, and have warranties to back their quality and assurance that their merchandise is the best on the market.

Now the true question is, is the Iphone worth the value, or is a refurbished, a.k.a. Used Iphone just as good as a brand new one. Well there are good things to a brand new, fresh out of the box compared to a refurbished one, as well as bad. Here were going to take a look at the differences between the two.

Ok so we all like brand new merchandise. Never been used, never been touched or played with. No memory storage used up or viruses downloaded. No unwanted data or applications, or unknown fingerprints for that matter on your merchandise. But that also comes at a high price. The Iphones brand new out of the box can cost you anywhere between $400 to $800 depending on the model. The prices also can get even steeper depending on how much memory is built in, how large the screen is, what over applications are installed on it. All these different attributes can raise the price even higher. Then there’s the warranty. You can purchase extended warranties which can cost you a couple more hundred dollars. But if you are willing to dish out the money for a new iphone your best bet is to get the warranty. This way if anything happens, you accidentally drop it, download a virus, or just a manufacture default, you are covered. I don’t know anybody that can just purchase a new iphone and a couple months later purchase another one because something happened to it and it just stops working.

With a new iphone you can personalize it the way you like. You can download any and all applications without it accidentally connecting with someone else’s account. The phone will be registered in your name with no exceptions, or questions. It’s never been dropped or mistreated. A child didn’t accidentally spill their juice on it, ha ha. These are things that happen at one time or another and when purchasing a refurbished phone you never know if your these situations happened to the merchandise you are purchasing. Knowing you are spending that extra money on a piece of brand new merchandise can ease your mind of these scenarios. Also being able to purchase a warranty for your phone can ease your mind of anything like this happening to your phone, which is one downfall to purchasing a refurbished phone.

Purchasing a refurbished phone is a difficult decision. As I stated you never knew what happened to it while it was in someone’s possession. It's not like a car that you can look up car fax, or ask about the background of any accidents or anything. You basically get what you pay for. No you will not be purchasing a refurbished phone with a cracked screen or a chip out the side corner. Refurbished phones are inspected for damage cosmetically. If the shell of the phone, or screen are in anyway not up to company standards or quality they will replace it with a new body, and or screen. Now the screen might not be gorilla glass, like a brand new one, but it will be suffice, and durable. The company is not going to disgrace it's not just because it's a refurbished phone.

Refurbished ones are scanned and looked at both inside and out. Most of the time you come across a refurbished phone is because a user had an issue with it dealing with the motherboard, or some sort of virus. This is where the insurance from a brand new phone comes in handy. The warranty covers the phone, the user shipps it back to the store and is replaced with another new phone. The faulty phone is then scanned and fixed. Whatever the problem was with the phone, the mechanics fix. If the problem is not fixed it is then torn apart and used for parts. So no you don’t have to worry about the phone not working.

Refurbished phones are nice. They come at a cheaper price. The price of course is lower because it is used. Just as any merchandise no company is going to charge you full price for used merchandise. You can save a lot of money purchasing a used phone. The phone is also wiped clean. The memory is completely erased and set back to manufacturer default mechanisms, so you don’t have to worry about running across someone else’s pictures, or private conversations, or moments. You won’t have to worry about other accounts linked to your phone.

A positive note about refurbished phones, besides the price, is that whatever the mechanical problem was, it got fixed. And the likeliness of it happening again is slim to none. As with a new one, the problem you had with the first one can happen again with another new one because it wasn’t made aware of and fixed. It’s like running a whole new marathon with the same hurdle you couldn’t jump the first time. With a refurbished phone, that hurdle got conquered and over came and you don’t have to jump it again.

One thing that can stray many away from purchasing a refurbished phone is that you basically get what you pay for. There are no guarantees, no money back, no refunds. It’s basically sold as is. And with that being said if you do come across any problems with it, it's basically now your problem. Warranties are not offered with a refurbished phone because there is no way of them promising you that it didn’t get stepped on, or dropped in the toilet, or juice spilled on. They can only guarantee you that the body is in good, decent shape, and the mechanics are working. There are no promises how long the phone is going to work for, or how well it will work. The company cannot promise you that at some point in the future you will come across another problem that they could not detect and fix. This is why they do not offer any warranties and also why the price is almost slashed in half.

So there you are. The good and bad, the ups and downs between new iphones and refurbished. Based on the information and your budget hopefully you can make the decision on where you are willing to pay the full price for the new, or take the chances of the used.

Refurbished is another word for used. There are several places that sale refunded items. These item have been returned fixed to be like new and sold . Refurbish items cost less the new. Buying refurbished item can come with warranties, , length will depend on who did the refurbishing. If the manufacturer did the repairs the warranty is likely to be for a year. Refurbished items can come with support for the manufacturer if they did the repairs.

Here a few consumers that buy refurbished over new. Rick from CNET said "he would choose refurbished every time." when it came to Apple products which are over priced when sold new. He saved up to 15% to 30% compared to new products. Eric from PCMag gose one step further ,arguing that refurbished computers in general are nearly always better deals that new ones. These a two consumers that are confident in refurbished electric. The above item were gotten from "Technology by Amy Livingiston. 1 In an article by Consumer reports there are several Cosumers who have bought refurbished item. Andrey said " I own many refurb electronics that I wouldn't consider buying new and I'm no less happy than I would be had I bought them new." Mai said "Yes certified household electronics. She has a Dyson refurbished vacuum cleaner that's worked great for years. Also has a iPhone that works great.." Lesley said "Yes , all the time.

Refurbished PCs of all brand names.." Reginald said "yes, Dell desktop. Works well, would do it again."2

Refurbished product have gone through an extensive process to restore. Like manufacturer will fully test product and make necessary repairs. Software will be returned to factory settings. They will do a complet data wipe and remove any unnecessary software and personal information. Refurbished can be better product because if the stricter testing then new right off the production line. Buying I also saves the environment, because electric wast is reduced. This also makes the product available for other consumers. Some stores have places were you can donate your used electronic

What to look for when buying refurbished electric. Buy from the manufacturer is a safer bet, but there are some reliable certified company's also so check around. These companies should say there a certified dealer and offer a warranty on the product. Always check the warranties terms and conditions. Some places may have a 30 to 90 day return policy, were some may have a no return policy.

New products cost more the refurbished but some consumers rather buy new over used or refurbished. Here are some consumers that had problem with a refurbished item. Steven got a refurbished iPhone 7 from a Apple store as a warranty replacement . A week later it got a little wet in a snow storm now the display is fogged and Siri has stopped working. This phone was to be water resistance. Fifi also bought a refurbished labtop and DVD player both had problems from the start. Both people have dissided new is better.2

Over all I have seen that more people are turning to refurbished over new. There are also more places saleing used or refurbished phone, tablets, game systems, and accessories.. Game stop , Amazon,Best buy,and even Dell sale refurbished items and are marked as refurbished. When more refurbished items come more available to the consumer there more likely to buy.

New vs Refurbished

So you're just dying to have the new iPhone but your pocketbook begs to differ what can you do? Have you ever considered a refurbished phone? I know the word refurbished can scare a lot of people away oh, it makes you think oh there's something wrong with that phone or that product there's no way I want to do that, I don't want to buy someone else's junk!

What most people don't understand is it a refurbished when you receive it should look and act as if it is brand new. Most refurbished products also come with a warranty. Not only will you be saving money you will still be getting a quality product.

So what does refurbished mean?it simply means that an item was purchased and then returned, Just because an item was returned doesn’t necessarily mean it was damaged. Sometimes people return products because the packaging is damaged, or because of minor blemishes that only affect the product’s looks. In other cases, they simply have “buyer’s remorse,” meaning they change their minds about a product after buying it could be that the product may have been missing a piece or two whatever the case it means that the supplier cannot sell it at full price. In cases like these, buying refurbished can get you a product that hasn’t been used at all for a bargain price.

Buying refurbished electronics can be a way to find reliable products at bargain prices, but it can also be a way to get ripped off if you’re not careful. It’s certainly worth looking for deals on refurbished goods, but you also need to take some precautions in order to protect yourself. These include shopping at reliable websites, choosing products that are worth the money, and reading the fine print before you click the buy button. When purchasing a refurbished item make sure the company that you are purchasing the refurbished item from offers a return policy or some kind of warranty. This is important so if your refurbished product turns out to be a dud, you will able to return or replace it. The longer the return policy and warranty, the better. Manufacturers often provide a full 1-year warranty on their refurbished models, just like they do with new items. If the company is not willing to offer one of these it's probably not a good idea.

But even with a good return policy and warranty, being careful also means inspecting your items as soon as you receive them. If you notice any damage or missing pieces, you'll want to take them back before the return period lapses.

Manufacturers that sell refurbished items such as laptops iPads and gaming consoles are all subject to rigorous testing before they are allowed to be resold.

As stated above refurbished items go through vigorous testing before they are allowed to be resold. However new items come directly from the assembly line and are shipped directly to the store to be purchased which most of the time is fine however what if it was a defective glitch on the line... this will cause for a whole shipment of defective products.

The biggest advantage of buying refurbished electronics rather than new ones is the price. According to Digital Trends, you can buy nearly any kind of electronic item refurbished , including PCs, laptops, tablets, smartphones, TVs, and digital cameras at prices up to 50% less than you’d pay new! Who wouldn't want that kind of savings!

In general, technology experts and everyday Joe's are enthusiastic about refurbished electronics. Technology experts say that as long as you buy from a reputable source, that offers some kind of protection, you can easily get a product that works just like new for a fraction of the cost.

So next time you're ready to buy a new electronic, think refurbished, your wallet will thank you.

Pros and Cons on a IPhone
Freda K.
2019-06-19 03:29:15

The Apple company makes some great quality iPhones. Of course the iPhone is very popular because of its beautiful unique look, And of course it has a lot of opinions when it comes to games and apps they have very many to choose from from kids to adult.. One of the iPhones best features is Siri. Siri is one of the features you can only get in the iPhone world and why millions have been sold all over the United States. People really have a lot to enjoy on an iPhone.

If your looking to owning your own iPhone or maybe you’re just looking to upgrade from the older iPhone to the newer iPhone you shouldn’t think twice you should do it an iPhone is well worth your money and you will love all the features it has so don’t think twice on it just do it purchase you an iPhone or just upgrade from the older iPhone to the newer version. The iPhone is a wonderful choose.

You may ask what are the benefits to buying a refurbished iPhone or even a new iPhone. Well where they are both a great choice you first must figure out which iPhone is best for you. Before you make your decision here are a few pros and cons so you make make the right decision that’s best for you.

A Refurbished iPhone is a little cheaper of course It’s one of the best reasons to purchase a refurbished iPhone. With it being cheaper billions of people in world purchase the refurbished iPhone. It saves them money with it being cheaper than paying for a brand new iPhone.

Here are a few iPhone compare prices:

The refurbished iPhone X prices, right now you can buy a refurbished iPhone X for around $700 and the shipping is free. They have been tested, all the data is wiped clean and they are really ready to sale and they come with new charging cables and the earbuds and the best feature is it also come with a warranty.

Now if you are going to buy a new iPhone X from the Apple store then it will cost you a few extra 100 bucks. Apples retailers sells the phone for $999 new, it cost $250 more than the refurbished iPhone would.

An iPhone X offers very cool features like it has a huge screen that is a very good thing when it comes to watching movies or playing your games While on the road cool features like Animoji are very interesting. So question is are you going to pay $250 more?

Some older model iPhones have similar prices to. So if you was to purchase a refurbished iPhone 8 Plus being refurbished the cost will be $799 when A new iPhone 8 Plus will cost you you $949. So purchasing a refurbished iPhone helps you save around 200 bucks.

Even though the refurbished iPhones cost less when compared to a new iPhone bought on a contract. When buying a refurbished iPhone X costs you around $700 bucks to purchase outright ,you can get an iPhone through AT&T Installment Program and it will cost you about $41.63 per month with a 24-month contract makes it around $1,000. Purchasing the iPhone X on contract is really as expensive as purchasing a new iPhone X and costs way more than when you purchase a refurbished iPhone X.

Another example is the iPhone 8 256gb with the price comparison.

When purchasing the refurbished iPhone 8 with 256gb of memory it will cost you around 700 dollars but, if you worst to purchase the iPhone 8 256gb through a contract with ATT with the device payment plan it will cost you around 38 dollars a month. It makes it where you are pay around 850 dollars for the iPhone 8 256gb, with the difference around $150.

Some of us may say when looking at the prices that it’s going to be in a two year period of time, it may not be so bad to purchase a refurbished iPhone. It will cost you less, than you going and purchasing a new iPhone. However, some of us may just actually want to go and purchase a brand new phone on a contract. It may also be a better option for some of us who aren’t really on a tight budget to spend to purchase a new phone.

If you are going to purchase a refurbished phone, you are going to pay the full amount of the phone therefore it will not be on any contact where they will keep your phone locked to one certain carrier although some of the phones you purchase could be sold to you unlocked from the carrier. Now, if you don’t have 750 to purchase the new phone all at once, maybe dividing the payments up monthly in a 24 month contract will work out great for you even with it costing you a little more to purchase the phone through a contract.

You may ask if a refurbished phone will come with its original warranty, well usually some phones retailers sell as refurbished like the iPhone it usually comes with a 30 day warranty. This is because you are purchasing it as a refurbished phone and they may only be able to offer you the best warranty available for a refurbished phone which is 30 days so if you decide that you want to request the phone be replaced because you don’t like the quality of the phone or you want your money back because your not just satisfied with the phone.

Depending on where you purchase your iPhone from will depend on the warranty you will get. Like if you purchase a refurbished iPhone 6s online from eBay you may more than likely get a 30 to 90 day warranty. Now some online sites offer you an extended warranty if you are willing to pay extra for them to extend it for you.

Now, when you are comparing your purchase of an iPhone from the Apple store, you will get a one year warranty, because you are purchasing the iPhone brand new.

The warranty is good for one year with a defective iPhone. This means within the year your purchase your warranty is good for a defect in the device. The one year warranty only cover a defective iPhone it has to be proven to be defective before the can repair or replace you old defective device with a brand new one but this warranty will not cover a new battery unless it’s proven to have a serious defect. They will replace it only if they see fit that the iPhone is defective.

The iPhone is made with high quality and it’s one of the main reasons so many people love them and are purchasing them like hot cakes. Even the refurbished iPhones are tested before Apple sales them to there consumers. Some people feel better having a longer warranty without having to pay extra for it. One of the main reasons they go to Apple is the warranty will be extended.

Some may question if people want an iPhone the day they are scheduled to come out, well this question is really easy to answer it really all depends on if you are wanting to purchase a brand new iPhone or if your willing to wait s few months to see how the quality of the iPhone is going to be and if you want to purchase it. Which, some people may want or need to purchase the iPhone the day it come out while a lot of people may just wait to see if it’s good for them to purchase it.

On the new iPhones release date if you want the new device and do not mind paying more for the new iPhone you should definitely get it while it brand new because it will be your choice to purchase it while it very new. Although again you may not be able to get it on the date that it comes out unless you pre order it assurance that you will get the new iPhone and so you want have to wait any longer for it to come in.

Maybe your not willing to wait a few months to get the iPhone refurbished I mean the same iPhone that was recently released. I think you should wait a few months for the refurbished version of the newly released iPhone. You can get it for a little less money. There will definitely be someone that will not be satisfied with the iPhone or realize that it’s just not for them and they will return it to store they purchased it from therefore they are going to refurbish it and you can purchase it for less money.

Sometimes the refurbished iPhone is available within a few months after the date it was released. Take for example the iPhone 8 Plus was available just a few months after the date it was launched. Another good example is the iPhone X it was sold refurbished only a few months after it came out on November 3, 2017. So if I was wanting to purchase an iPhone I would definitely wait a few months to purchase it refurbished so I could save a little money.

Refurbished confidence.

As many people know new products are expensive. More and more people are buying refurbished products vs new ones. The price isn't the only difference though. There is also warranty, defects, and the ow so present thought of having to replace something expensive.

Price.

Price is a major driver of weather or not someone buys something new. Take the Nintendo switch for example. A new Nintendo switch will set you back three hundred dollars after taxes. I don't know about you but for my house hold three hundred dollars is a lot of money. On the contrary you can find special deals on refurbished Nintendo switch's for under one hundred dollars. Now some people will look at that deal and think its to cheap, it must not be very well put together, i wonder what kind of warranty it has which happens to be my next topic.

Warranty

Warranty's are a big part of buying something new and refurbished. I see it more and more every day that the warranty for refurbished products are starting to match that of brand new products. Places that refurbish these products are doing a better job at renewing the products to original quality if not better. Couple that with the ability to research any bushiness and look at hundreds of reviews you will see that ninety five percent of the time refurbished products are out lasting new products due to factory defects and codding errors.

Defects/errors

Defects and errors are just a part of life. There is no way for a business to have one hundred percent of their products work properly. That's why we have warranty's in the first place. I have noticed what everyone else is starting to figure out. That a lot of the refurbished products out there are from a factory warranty and most likely had a minor defect that was easily fixable. Another side of this is if you buy a new product all the bugs might not have been taken out of the system yet. On the refurbished side of things all of those problems have already been solved and you are left with a product that is like new and reliable.

Replacement

Replacing a new product under warranty has always been relatively easy. Send in the broken product and get a new one to replace it. Once the warranty runs out though you have to decide weather to send it in for costly repairs, buy another one, or simply do without. If you bought the product new you are looking at spending the same money to buy another new one or buying a cheaper used or refurbished one. If you bought it refurbished you can just go buy another refurbished one and probably come out spending less on the two consoles than some paid for one of their new products. This is specifically good for people who have children. Children are very good at braking things so if you can get two for less than the price of one then go for it.

In conclusion buying refurbished vs buying new to me is a no brainier. I will almost always buy refurbished. Their warranty's are the same or better than factory. The price really helps my family save money. I don't have to worry half as much if my kids are going to brake it, and i still get the satisfaction of owning that product.

Pros and cons or refurbished iPhones
Tyler A.
2019-06-16 07:40:01

Have you ever been to the store looking to buy something new and saw the price on it and went "maybe I can find it cheaper" then you look at the exact same thing but refurbished and think " wow it's cheaper but why?" Well we are going to talk about just that exactly. But we are going to do it with one of the world's most popular items. The iphone. The iPhone has been around for years and we won't see it stop production anytime soon. But they also come with a really high price tag. And to a lot of us that is something to think about, when It comes to buying one. But have you ever looked to find that model Iphone refurbished? Not many people do but they are out there and they are definitely cheaper. But not cheap in a bad way. They very well may help you out with your problem. We are going to talk about the pros and cons of buying this well used item new versus refurbished.

Now we all know what pros come from buying new items versus used. Like the obvious it's new. No one had used it before you, you know that as soon as you take the phone out of the box all the bells and whistles are going to work right away, no scratches, no dings and dents, glass screens look flawless, it comes with all the accessories you were promised it would come with. But what I bent you didn't know is that when you buy something that has been refurbished, they have actually taken that used iPhone that had one to possibly three owners before you and they took it and repaired everything about it. From the base out look like frame of the phone, screen and all the buttons, down to the internals, the hardware and software are cleaned up, and the circuit board is repaired. So really refurbishing a phone is like getting a brand new one just not at the same price tag. Also that's not all they do with it. The box and the accessories that would normally come with it. Yeah they give you that stuff to, fully repaired and ready for you to use. That includes the charger, the charge box has been repaired so any wiring in side that may be loose or damaged is no longer. The cable is either trashed and replaced (depending on how bad the cable was) or it's repaired with again all new wiring and connector fittings, also if your phone came with headphones brand new guess what so does the refurbished one. They personally take the time to make sure you get what is promised by the manufacturer. Cause most of the time they are the ones fixing and reselling them. Now I know most of the time people don't return the headphones. But that's ok those are going to be new when you get it. Think of it as a customer service, So that you'll buy the refurbished one. Other pros about buying refurbished is of course the price tag on them now a new iPhone could cost you anywhere from 200 to 500 and sometimes even 800 for their newest model. That's a lot of cash! But save yourself the worry. A refurbished iPhone with everything and sometimes cut that in half if not more. This will save your pocket book or wallet from ever feeling the pain of spending too much. I know that is probably the biggest thing for well mostly everyone when it comes to buying anything. none of us want to spend more than we have to. Also say you just need an iPhone for the time being and your just waiting for a new one to come out. And you want to buy new. You can buy the refurbished iphone use it for a while. Then when the time comes take the phone sell it to a private seller, friends, family, Facebook marketplace, Craigslist, whatever your choice is and use the money to buy a new phone. You may even make your money back and then some if you do it right. You could also buy the newer phone refurbished and give the one you got down to other family members so they can upgrade using your hand me down. I know a few family members that would love that.

Now all of the pros about Buying a refurbished iPhone versus a new iphone, don't come without the opposite the cons of buying refurbished. Scary huh? Well don't be scared cause the cons of. Buying refurbished is outweighed by the pros. Though they are still there. But after everything is all said and done it's up to the consumer to decide. Now when buying new alot of us go after the latest and greatest model we can. I mean I would want the newest one I could possibly get if I'm spending my money. But the sad thing is that you can't always get the latest and greatest when buying refurbished cause well it just came out. Not many people are just going to bring back the new one for something else. So you won't always be able to buy the new one, you may have to get an iPhone of the last generation or maybe even older because of how popular the iPhone was that generation. And that's not all I know when I buy I phone I want a certain color. But buying a refurbished I phone means you may also not get the color you would like whether that be a blue, red, black, white, green, or whatever color that have out you may have to suck it up and take the colors that are available. Good thing people makes cool phone cases. Another con is what if you are like me and worried that though its "been repaired" they actually did a good job. Everyone has off days where their work isn't at top shape. And buying a refurbished iPhone could be a risk like that. You don't know who had the phone before you and you will never know what they have done to it. What if the person repairing missed something and by the time you get it, It breaks that would be some bad luck but it's the risk everyone has to do when buying a refurbished item especially a phone. Granted the upside of that is that most companies offer warranties and trial periods so if that happens the will repair and or replace your refurbished phone free of charge. But if that were to happen to you, you would also have to wait for the company to reply to your call or email send you a new phone. And have you send the old one back. Or you would have to send in the phone wait for them to make repairs and send it or a newer one back to you. That's a lot of time spent clearing out phones and putting stuff back. Phone numbers, photos, ringtones, backgrounds, videos, and so much more that you have to transfer back and forth. Also say your only option to buy refurbished is to buy online. You would have to wait for the phone to come in the mail and hope that it doesn't get lost or is the wrong iPhone. We all have had that happen where our online order was wrong and we had to ship it back. Again a lot of time wasted. Though it doesn't happen often and the odds of that happening are slim. Some people have that unfortunate experience.

So over all I personally think that iPhones are not for me in an android person. But all this pros and cons can be used for both types of phones. And though there are some cons to buying refurbished iPhones the pros that come as well stand tall and outweigh the amount and type of cons. Mainly cause the cons are very situational and only happen to a small select few with that kind of luck I personally think buying a refurbished phone will take the edge off your wallet or pocket book when looking for that next phone. And will surely make the buying experience better. And with a lot of companies giving you the option of warranties and even a grace period. You are practically guaranteed a working and good looking phone and isn't that what we all are looking for when we shop. Easy to deal with and full of satisfaction. Maybe next time you go looking give the refurbished option a try and see for yourself what it is really like. Who knows maybe you will by refurbished items from here on out.

Used or New?

In today’s world there are new electronics coming out everyday, week, month, and year. From regular flat screen tvs, to 4k tvs. Iphone 6’s to iphone 8s. Xbox to xbox 1. You get my point. Everyone wants the new and updated electronics as they have more vibrance, more realistic, and better quality. Well what about new merchandised but refurbished. What is refurbished? Refurbished is when product has had some trouble some issue and been returned to the manufacturer to be fixed. So what’s so wrong with purchasing it? As a consumer, of course I would love to have brand new merchandise, never been used, solely used only by myself or my family. But at what cost? You can purchase refurbished merchandise for almost less than half of the price of the brand new one. Yes it has already been purchased by someone else in the past but when merchandise it sent back to the manufacturer for fixing of some sort it is completely wiped clean and erased from all preexisting memory. It is set back to all manufacturer default settings, so when a new consumer purchases it, it is almost like brand new. One thing I have found about refurbished is it is just as good as brand new, if not sometimes better. For instance. My husband bought a brand new Xbox. Couple of months down the line, he got the ring of death. It’s when the power button on the system completely goes red all the way around and the system is basically dead and can no longer be used. Now there are companies out there that know how to fix the problem but charge you an arm and a leg. So instead most just go buy another brand new one, not realizing that the chances of that some problem reoccuring in the new system is highly likely. Well I went and bought him a refurbished one. What’s nice with that is, it already had that problem and was fixed. The system was completely wiped clean and didn’t even know that is was used and already pre owned. He hasn’t had a problem with it yet, and that was almost 5 years ago. When there are problems with electronics they tend to be highly expensive to fix or replace. And who has the money to keep going back out and buying a new one all over again. I know I don’t. Looking into refurbished is a good idea. Before making any true decisions you do however have to do some research. Double check the company you are purchasing the product from. Make sure they are qualified as electrical mechanics, as I call them. You have to have knowledge how to pull something apart, properly fix it, and put it back together. Making sure the problem is truly fixed and not just a quick minute fix, where the problem will recur. Also check the prices. Sometimes refurbished materials can cost just as much as a brand new one. With this in mind, think of how much time has lapsed between when the first time the product was introduced and now. There are many updates on electronics everyday to make sure recurring problems don’t exist over and over again in new merchandise. In that case you might be better off just getting the new one. Always keep an open mind and not wallet when it comes to refurbished to brand new.

Refurbished Products

As the average household steadily grows throughout the globe, more and more people are looking at how too get the latest and greatest technology out there. From gadgets to appliances to vehicles, consumers are consuming more than ever and they’re always looking on how they can stretch their money further. Refurbished products will frequently come to mind when individuals try to find a way to afford the things they want, but there is a natural stigma related to refurbished products that they have to take into consideration. Every person who is looking to buy something refurbished has to look at both the pros and the cons.

The more expensive the product, the more carefully the consumer must consider their options. Refurbished products have a tendency to become defective or malfunction with time so it it’s often considered a risk to buy refurbished. When the word refurbished is used however, it doesn’t always mean that something was broken and then pieced back together. For example, when the new iPhone comes out, Apple has achieved a regular fan base of people who feel they need to have the newest phone. So, when these individuals buy the latest iPhone, they often sell their old one right back to Apple. There’s nothing wrong with the old phone, but Apple takes them, “refurbishes” them, and sell them back to the populace. Many products have instances like this meaning that the refurbished products will not always be defective be default, but in most cases it’s impossible to know what type of refurbished product you may get. Companies understand the stigma of refurbished products so most reputable sellers will add a limited warranty to help give their customers the assurance what’s being purchased will last or it will be replaced for free.

When people look to get the newest stuff, they tend to place a greater sentimental value on getting things brand new. Because the demand on refurbished products is low, it drives down the price for those who are willing to sacrifice the sentimental value of a brand=new product for a cheaper used one. But if you’re somebody who feels the need to be on the cutting edge of technology, refurbished products are probably not for you.

If, however, you are somebody who likes to help recycle and keep things green, a refurbished product might be exactly what you’re looking for to do your part. The more people that purchase restored goods, the greater the demand companies will have to supply recycled goods, who will then be able to pay people a greater amount for individuals to recycle their unwanted items. When companies pay more, a greater portion of the population will be willing to recycle instead of simply throwing precious resources away.

So if you’re a consumer looking to buy a refurbished product, it comes down to just a handful basic concepts; Does the significant price drop outweigh the risk of potentially defective merchandise? Are you OK with not having the product brand new or the very newest tech? Do you want to do your part in keeping the Earth green? If so, then a refurbished product might just be the way you want to go.

There are pros and cons of buying refurbished iPhones.

There are some advantages and some disadvantages of purchasing a refurbished iPhone. Different opinions and levels of trust by consumers between new and refurbished iPhones exist. Alot of consumers consider refurbished items to be second rate products. However other consumers, such as myself do not believe this to be true.

IPhones are in high demand these days because of the way they look, as well as the way they operate. Style is a enormously great seller to a product that can be easily seen by others around people who value simply what others may perceive to be true of them. Rather than buy a cheaper nice looking product they want to be perceived by others to have greater wealth, and therefore purchasing the iPhone that has a more valuable reputation.

Refurbished products in my opinion are sometimes of better quality than new products. They have been trouble shooted and any problems within the products have been addressed and fixed. It might have been present in that single item of that product or in a great many of that single products. New parts are generated and installed into refurbished products, by individuals who know all aspects of it, are knowledgeable about them and trained to troubleshoot them and repair them to their original condition or even better.

With original/new iPhones there could be manufacturing flaws, or they might have been misused. When a new product is invented and manufactured there are (often more than not) flaws and/or kicks (or perhaps problems that need to be detected, addressed and fixed). Therefore when am iPhone is fixed in some manner it is considered to be refurbished. It can also be considered to be refurbished if nothing happened but the box was opened. A merely opened boxed iPhone cannot be sold as a new product. Therefore I myself would rather acquire a refurbished product that has been updated. And any additional apps or programs are installed.

New iPhones are usually greatly available at a much higher price than a refurbished product because it is all original parts and manufacturing. Many consumers would rather pay the price difference for the "new" iPhone. However there is still a great many of the population around the globe that would prefer to wait a little while until the refurbished products are available and crunch in a few extra dollars (or whatever their currency is) in savings.

When a iPhone malfunctions (or breaks down) in some manner, the consumers can usually return the product(s) for a refund or replacement. When this occurs the manufacturer receives the product back into it's inventory. There is no reason to just destroy that product if it can be repaired and re-sold (at a more economical price than it was originally) when the manufacturer can still turn a profit from that product. Often it is a broken screen which can easily be replaced. The manufacturer of iPhone (Apple), does not offer a great reduction in price between a new and refurbished product however. (Apple is a shorter name for American technology company.)So consumers don't save as much as the comparison of other electronic products. Apple also manufacturers the iMac computers and Apple watches, which they don't provide any additional warranties on other than the original one year. However, if you purchase a refurbished iPhone from a different retailer there are different warranties sometimes available. This means that they probably have the belief that there will be no problems with the Apple products purchased from Apple after a one year period, whether it is new or refurbished.

You really have to research into each model of iPhone to choose which model would best suit your own needs. Each year basically, a newer model iPhone is released to consumers with different features available than any of the prior models. If you choose to buy the newest model of iPhone you will probably be required to lock into a contract with one of the many cell phone carriers. When purchasing a refurbished iPhone you can receive it with no contact being required...therefore you can have it activated with the cell carrier of your choice, with many more options.

If you are interested in an newer model iPhone, but want to save money, all you have to do is give it a little time after the release of the newest model, and the refurbished ones will be readily available at different retailers.

One downside to refurbished Apple products such as the iPhones do not have any of the newest program updates. Therefore here in the year 2019, when purchasing a refurbished iPhone, it might have the original programming as it was released with back in 2015. This sometimes doesn't matter to the consumers because the Apple app store has over one million downloadable apps available.

I really believe many consumers around the world posess the same opinions I do on this matter because refurbished products are readily available on essentially all products that are available to consumers (especially electronic devices). These are inclusive Pretty much of any and all consumer products requiring a power source of some type can be refurbished to a better quality of the original orgin.

In many new iPhones there is programming issues that go wrong with the software in the product. This requires the iPhone to be returned to Microsoft to have updated programming installed. There has been a great deal if this problem since the first iPhone was created and introduced to consumers. Therefore there have been a great majority of each newly produced iPhones returned. Some people would still believe that a refurbished iPhone is not as good of product as one newly made.

The vast array of refurbished iPhones still are inclusive of very appealing warranties as well as new (original) products. Some however have no guarantees. Therefore there is a substantial risk in purchasing some refurbished products (but there is risk to be observed in any purchased products requiring electricity of some sort.

Some refurbished iPhones are simply considered refurbished because they were returned, but inspected and have no problems. Others have major issues but have been extensively inspected and repaired to even better quality.

So...it is ultimately each and everyone's personal opinion on whether a refurbished iPhonet is for them or not. My recommendation is that everyone always at least try the experience at least with one or two different products at a more economical price and form their own opinion before ruling them out completely. I myself have had awesome luck purchasing ref and saving money as well as getting a good warranty (which I might add I've rarely had to take advantage of). I even have enjoyed a great discount on a middle end cost, very large screen television, which some people advise that you shouldn't consider, much less take advantage of. I have not purchased any Apple products myself, therefore I cannot say whether or not I like them. There over one billion current people that have purchased the new iPhones as they are released, and there is a high population that have purchased the refurbished iPhone. Many people have the belief that any other brands are inferior to the Apple iPhone.

So whether it is merely an opened box by a careless retail employee, or a damaged iPhone in some manner it will be available at a reduction in price comparison to an off the shelf, sealed NEW product. In this relation it would be wise (by my own opinion, which is shared by many) to purchase the refurbished iPhone rather than walking into a high-end retail store and purchasing one in a new unopened box, just because it's considered to be NEW.

Consumers Trust in what they Trust in

Recently I was asked what I felt about society and it's confidence in refurbished products in relation to new ones. After a short time my answer became clear as crystal, and it is a cycle that has been witnessed time after time over the ages when it comes to confidence by people in any aspect, let alone as a consumer.

When refurbished products first started to enter the market, there was understandable skepticism in regards to their value when compared to new products of the same nature. The business model was new and most people felt it was always just better to purchase the new as opposed to go with refurbished products. This was slightly puzzling to me as most people were in the habit of paying to have various products fixed which was akin to refurbished. People would pay for refurbished parts for cars or appliances in order to save a dollar here or there, and the results were mostly beneficial to those involved. But there still wasnt a solid and stable market that took advantage of this niche to truly cement confidence from the economic monster of society.

As the market started to grow, and the skilled work that goes into refurbishing as a whole, the comfort level really started to settle in. If you were watching specific industries over time then you would have seen how refurbished products not only took a foothold but also began to win over consumer trust. The console market for video games is a prime example of a large use of refurbishing products that manages to keep pace to a degree with its brand new products. By simply repairing older and broken console gaming systems and reselling them at a much discounted rate, many were surprised to see the influx of cash money being shelled out for these once discarded and abandoned game systems. Confidence soared as consumers started to realize that they could get quality refurbished products at a percentage of what new products would cost , but without losing any of the benefits they truly wanted. The value of refurbishing was becoming more clear to any that cared to look with just that simple act. Thus a status quo was developed and faith imbued in the process of refurbishing as this practice would spread to many different industries globally with equal styled success.

In the beginning there was wavering confidence in refurbished products in general, but as I stated, over time that confidence began to grow. Today refurbished products are looked at as smart buys in most cases, as they deliver on what the consumer wants while maintaining a high level of quality. Confidence has been established and continues to grow in these products and in turn has helped to create a positive impact on the economy as a whole. In short, public confidence in the purchase of refurbished products is on par with the purchase of brand new products and continues to maintain that faith from consumers globally. There will always be exceptions to the rules, but this factors in more to the company doing the refurbishing themselves and the level of quality they hold themselves to when putting out these products. As the industry continues to evolve these dregs of the industry will eventually fall off and allow an ever greater expansion of the trust and use of refurbished products in general.

Consumer trust is only limited by the industry in itself and will always have the potential to rise and fall in accordance. Currently the confidence and trust in these refurbished products have solidified enough so that a major market has evolved to provide these items at discounted rates to their new counterparts but with similar reliability. I only imagine this trend to continue as time marches forward and technology continues to grow and expand across the board.
